When you get the product, the HCG comes with a glass tube (ampul) - 1 ml of powdered HCG and 2nd ampul of a liquid solvent. Throw away the liquid solvent.

While you are waiting for the HCG to arrive from overseas and go through customs, you can inquire about purchasing needles locally (1 needle/syringe per day per person) for injections (2" if you are going to inject into your muscles or like us, ½" if you are going to inject into your belly fat). You also need several vials of sterile water and several wide syringe/needles for mixing the HCG with sterile water and inserting into the mixed sterile water vial.

To determine how much sterile water to use with the purchased 5000 IU, decide what strength of HCG you will try.
When we used 125 IU injections:
Divide 5000 IU by 125 IU to get 40 ml of sterile water to mix with the 1 ml of powdered HCG.
When we used 150 IU injections:
Divide 5000 IU by 150 IU to get 33 ml of sterile water to mix with the 1 ml of powdered HCG.
When we used 200 IU injections:
Divide 5000 IU by 200 IU to get 25 ml of sterile water to mix with the 1 ml of powdered HCG.

I might need 27 injections and Arlene might need 60 injections, that equals about 87 ml of dissolved HCG. If we are using the 150 IU this time, each powdered 5000 IU ampul makes about 33 ml or injections, we need to purchase about 3 ampuls. We would only use and prepare 1 ampul at a time and store the dissolved liquid in the refrigerator and the powdered ampuls on the shelf.
